XR Pre-Training

Menu: ALF > XR Pre-Training

Adds a short warm-up in front of a lesson. Before the content starts, learners practise the XR controls the lesson uses with their own hands: pressing buttons, pointing, grabbing, moving around. When the lesson begins, they can focus on its content instead of on how the headset works.

You don't build the warm-up by hand. The tool looks at your lesson, suggests the exercises it needs, and generates them: a practice station in front of the learner and practice steps of its own that run before the lesson. Your lesson isn't changed at all, and its steps keep their numbers.

Quick start

  1. Build the lesson with Scenario Setup first.
  2. Open ALF > XR Pre-Training.
  3. In step 1 Lesson, check that the tool found your lesson and the player setup.
  4. In step 2 Modules, check the exercises it ticked, and choose the Language.
  5. In step 3 Generate, press Add the warm-up.
  6. Optional: in step 4 Steps, adjust the wording, hints and panel positions.
  7. In step 5 Save, press Save the scene.
