Model Adjuster

Menu: ALF > Model Adjuster

Prepares a 3D model before you place it with the Object Spawner. Models from other programs often arrive lying on their side, far too big or small, or floating below the floor. Model Adjuster lets you turn, resize and set the model down on a preview plate, then saves it as a new prefab that sits upright and at the right size. The original model is never changed.

Quick start

  1. Open ALF > Model Adjuster.
  2. In step 1 Model, choose the model in Model asset and press Load model into preview.
  3. In step 2 Adjust, set the Position, Rotation and Scale multiplier until it looks right.
  4. In step 3 Corrections, tick Snap to ground and/or Snap rotation to 90°, press Apply selected corrections, then I like this position, orientation and size.
  5. In step 4 Save, press Save adjusted prefab… and choose a name.

The Object Spawner then opens with your new prefab, ready to place.
