Place the graph and choose what learners can do
Goal: decide where the graph appears and how learners can use it, in step 4 Placement.
Where it appears
| Option | What happens |
|---|---|
| In the world | The graph stands where you put it, at the position and rotation you set. |
| In front of the learner | Each time the graph is shown, it appears at eye level at the Distance from the learner (m) you set, facing them. It moves along when they walk or teleport. About 1.5 m suits a graph of 1.2 m by 0.8 m. |
What learners can do
All of these are on for a new graph:
| Option | What learners can do |
|---|---|
| Learners can grab and move it | Grab the graph and put it somewhere else. It straightens itself if let go slightly tilted. A Lock in place button next to the board fixes it. |
| Learners can resize it with both hands | Grab it with both hands and pull apart or together. Texts stay sharp at the new size. |
| Learners can zoom in | Use +, – and Show all next to the board, and drag the zoomed view. Line charts and scatter plots only. |
| Learners see a value when they point at it | Point at a bar, point or box to see its exact value. |
The graph also turns towards the learner when they walk around it. A Stop turning button next to the board switches that off.
Good to know
- Show the graph in one lesson step only by switching it on in that step with Scenario Setup. Placed in front of the learner, it then appears right where they are.
